Mrs Le Page’s school musical production of Peter Pan has carved out a spot for itself in Vale Primary School’s history book.
As the director, Jess organised the whole-school musical from Years 1 through to 6 and got everyone involved in all aspects of production.
‘The show itself was outstanding and every child was completely engaged and singing their hearts out to give delight to the audience,’ said her nominator for the Pride of Guernsey Teacher of the Year award, Gemma Loweth, mum to one of the children involved.
‘The programme listed just under 100 children’s names. That is just under 100 primary-aged children who will have this memory for the rest of their lives.
‘It is just under 100 children who have had the experience of being part of something truly amazing, working together to produce something that will stay with them forever.
‘Thank you Jess – and the rest of the team who supported your idea – for putting your heart, soul and the many, many hours needed, into shaping our children’s lives and bringing the joy of music and performance to life at an early age.’
Jess always keeps in mind that every child has their own skillsets, academic or otherwise.
‘I am so proud of each and every child that took part in Peter Pan,’ she said.
‘They truly showed that Vale School is full of stars who just needed the opportunity to shine.’
