Bonny Murray has been nominated for the Teacher of the Year award

‘MISS Murray has been nothing but amazing towards my daughter at school,’ said her nominator, Emily McGrath.

‘She has helped us with my daughter’s confidence and her work.

‘No problem is too big for Miss Murray to help and support my daughter and the class.

‘She is a teacher who will do anything to support and make sure we go the correct way to get my daughter to the right stage for school.’

Bonny started working at Social Security where she found her niche in making an impact of young people, and the importance for children to have support around them came to her attention.

Now, she has taken that lesson into her own classes to guide her teaching. For Bonny, the most rewarding thing in the job for her is to see their self-belief grow.

Bonny started teaching 11 years ago, with the past six of those spent at Notre Dame Du Rosaire Primary School.

This is her third nomination for Teacher of the Year, having also been nominated in 2023 and 2021.
