Jerry Thomas has been nominated for the Teacher of the Year award

JERRY THOMAS, described as an 'absolute blessing’ has been nominated for Teacher of the Year for the third time. 

‘She gets to know all her children and gets to know their special ways,’ said her nominator Rebecca Meredith. 

‘As a mum, knowing my son is with a teacher who cares for each child like her own is such a comforting feeling. 

‘She is such a beautiful teacher inside and out. She makes sure the children know they matter and that any problem that may arise, she will work with that child until they have tackled the problem. 

‘If the children have done something out of school she wants to hear all about it and makes sure they feel so special.’

Mrs Thomas also helped run a successful school trip to Herm for two nights this year. Throughout the trip she kept all the parents up to date using a communication app for teachers and parents to reassure them and keep them involved. 

‘So this lady I believe should be noticed for being the teacher every parent needs in their life when their children start spreading their wings. You know your child is so safe, looked after, and is happy.’
