KAYLEIGH RUMENS loves her role at Little Angels Day Care Nursery as not only is everyday different while seeing the children grow up but also the relationships you can create with the parents ‘means a lot’.
It will be six years since Kayleigh started at the St Peter Port-based nursery this July and her efforts have been recognised by her colleague and first-time mum, Adrienne Tebble.
‘Kayleigh has gone up and beyond for my son, helping me through such a hard time,’ Adrienne said.
‘Being a first-time parent, it is hard leaving your little one with anyone, and so when my son was going to a lot of doctor’s appointments, Kayleigh was amazing, doing observations so I could go to the doctor.’
Little Angels looks after and educates children from three months to five years old.
Kayleigh said that with the amount of time spent with the children, you can become ‘another set of parents’.
For Adrienne, Kayleigh’s observations helping to see how her young son was doing compared to at home, deserved some recognition.
‘She is such an amazing person.’
