Nathan Phillips has been nominated for the Teacher of the Year award

NATHAN PHILLIPS’ positive energy, dedication and inclusive teaching style, supporting and inspiring students to reach their full potential, make him an outstanding candidate for Teacher of the Year, said his nominator Lisa Vidamour. 

Mr Phillips has been teaching English for three years, and started at Les Beaucamps High School in September 2023. 

‘Going above and beyond his duties, Mr Phillips is dedicated to providing additional support to students of all abilities. He’s even turned up to support his students at events outside of school, and takes real pride in their achievements. 

‘He understands the needs of students requiring extra help. 

'He thinks outside the box to find solutions to problems and he goes the extra mile to ensure the children in his care attend school, feel valued, make progress and thrive. His ability to help children change negative mindsets is remarkable. 

‘He encourages his students to have a voice – he listens to them and he engages with parents, maintaining excellent communication and working with us to achieve the best outcomes for our children. 

'His devotion to his students and his exceptional ability to make every child feel important and capable make him a stand-out educator.’
