Lisa Harvey has been nominated for Teacher of the Year

Les Beaucamps High School geography teacher Lisa Harvey ‘goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels comfortable and happy at school,’ and has been nominated for the Pride of Guernsey Teacher of the Year award.

She joined the school in October 2022, also taking up the role of inclusion manager, and in under two years has already made a resounding impact on the students.

‘She ensures that everyone feels included within the school and is always there when you need her. Her happy personality never fails to make you feel better even on a hard day and she really tries extremely hard that everyone makes the most out of school,’ said her nominator.

‘She deserves to be noticed for her hard work and kindness.’

Lisa said that she loves every aspect of her job and her favourite part is seeing the personal development of the students.

‘I just love seeing students achieve things they weren’t able to achieve before.’
