Bea Smith has been nominated for the Teacher of the Year award

Prior to her last summer working at Monkey Puzzle Pre-School at Kings, Bea Smith has been nominated for her work teaching early years foundation. 

Bea has worked hard over the past five years as a teacher, balancing work with study, as she also earned her diploma.

‘She always goes above and beyond for every child and really takes pride in her work – she really cares about the children she works for,’ said Bea’s nominator Lydia Robins.

‘Despite her own personal struggles, she has never let it interfere with her work.

‘She brings so much joy to the children she teaches.’

Bea Smith said that teaching has felt like she has achieved her lifetime goal, ever since she traded her childhood dream of ‘growing up to be a fairy’ to be an early years teacher.

‘Overall, she is just an amazing teacher with an amazing attitude towards her job,’ Lydia Robins added.
