‘IT TAKES a special kind of person’ to be a learning support assistant, said nominator Paige Le Moignan about Deanne Le Moignan at Le Rondin.
‘Deanna doesn’t just do her job, she goes above and beyond every single day for every child she teaches and helps.
‘She takes such pride in her job, she shows so much care and enthusiasm every single day to make sure the children get the best out of their day as well as learn and enjoy themselves 110% of the time.
‘We can be walking through the High Street in Town and a child will shout out her name and run up to say hello and have a full-on conversation telling her about their day, even though she only saw them the day before.
‘She deserves a nomination for Teacher of the Year, hands-down – her years of hard work, dedication and effort teaching and helping the children make such an impact on their lives and it shows, but also on her life too.’
Deanna has been working as an LSA at Le Rondin, a primary school for children with special needs, for five years.
‘No day is ever the same,’ she said.
