Patricia Boyle has been nominated for Angel of the Year

‘Hard-working, selfless, dependable and a true credit to Guernsey,’ were only a few of the complements paid to Patricia Boyle by her Pride of Guernsey Angel of the Year award nominator who also said ‘She is the true definition of an angel.’

Patricia has been a nurse for the past 30 years after moving to Guernsey in 1990, and since 2001 has worked in community nursing, currently a senior staff nurse for the North Community Nursing team.

‘I’m really passionate about my job and privileged to take care of people and meeting new patients, I also love working in such a great group of professionals,’ she said.

Nominator Hayley Shemilt added that the love is reciprocated around the hospital.

‘Trish loves to mentor students and is an enthusiastic and memorable teacher, due to this she is well known across the hospital and wider nursing community as she has mentored so many of the nurses working there,’ she said.

‘She has a sharp wit, a wicked sense of humour and she is loved by her colleagues and patients. She has a wonderful bedside manner and her kindness, compassion and empathy that she shows to her patients is second to none.’
