Autism Outreach Adult Services has been nominated for the Angel of the Year award

The Autism Outreach Adult Services fills an important gap in care for people with special needs, as support for special needs often drops off sharply once they reach adulthood.

‘They mean the world to my daughter and myself, and I can’t thank them enough for all they do,’ said their nominator Deb Carter.

‘The team works so hard and does everything it can to make the lives of those it cares for, on a daily basis, have meaning, purpose and enjoyment.

‘My daughter thoroughly enjoys her busy life and loves everyone in the team. As a mother of a person with extra needs it’s always difficult not to worry about them, but with a team such as Autism Outreach I can truly say I know she is in safe hands.

‘They deserve this award and recognition for doing a job that is truly difficult and tiring, and be able to give such happiness and genuine joy to those whose lives are dependent on their care.

‘It is a truly remarkable service and one that many families could not be without.

‘Thank you for allowing my grown-up daughter to be able to live her life with such dignity, in a safe environment and a chance to have her place in this world.’
