Mandy Davies has been nominated for the Angel of the Year award

SINCE Mandy Davies became a nurse at 18 years old, the Angel of the Year nominee has undertaken various jobs all over the island.

From being a practice nurse and working as a community nurse to helping in St John’s Residential Home in Saumarez Park, Mandy has always cared for people. 

More recently, Mandy started work at Les Bourgs Hospice as a staff nurse, and helps as a team leader for the senior carers of the Health and Social Care's community service team.

‘She has always put the care and needs of others before herself,’ said nominator Kerri Legg. ‘This is including during Covid, which was an incredibly difficult time for the sector, and she even put the needs of the public above herself by not bubbling with family members to keep them safe during lockdown, which would have been incredibly hard as she lives alone. 

‘I couldn’t think of someone more caring and deserving of this award than her.’
