NO task is too big or too small for Lydia Miller, a ‘gem’ of a nurse in Guernsey’s Healthcare Group.
While Lydia has been practicing as a nurse for around two decades, having previously worked as a community nurse and as part of the Covid team during the pandemic, the Pride of Guernsey Angel of the Year nominee moved to the Cobo Health Centre in April 2023.
Since her move, Lydia found the most heart-warming aspect is the true community feel at the Cobo-based surgery, in addition to the lovely quirk that if the wind is blowing in the right direction, you can smell the fish and chip shop.
‘No matter how busy or how little time she has, Lydia will go over and above to help anyone,’ Lydia’s nominator said.
‘Whether it be through nursing or in her everyday life, she is a gem that Guernsey is lucky to have.’
