Dr Vicky Carre has been nominated for the Angel of the Year award

DR VICKY CARRE is ‘an absolute asset’ to the medical community according to her Angel of the Year nominator.

The Cobo Surgery doctor has nearly 25 years of practice under her belt and has helped her nominator, who wishes to remain anonymous, overcome their worries about going to doctor surgeries.

‘I’ve struggled with anxiety about going to doctors' surgeries for as long as I can remember and Dr Carre has made me feel so comfortable with her, I can go to the doctors at ease now, which is huge for me.

‘She’s been my constant support through all life’s struggles and there has been many – she congratulates me on my successes and always encourages me to do my best but is also there for me when life hits rock bottom and helps to build me back up.’

Dr Carre was not only commended for her professional help but also for her general compassion and understanding.

‘I feel more than well advocated for, she always does her best by me and nothing is too much trouble for her – the patience and reassurance she shows has helped me in so many ways.’
