The front desk team at the GSPCA has been nominated for the Customer Service of the Year

The front desk team at the GSPCA has been nominated for the Customer Service of the Year award.

They are often the first line of communication, co-ordination, delegation and organisation of the day-to-day operations of the animal shelter.

They deal with calls reporting cruelty or concerns, bereaved pet owners, potential adopters, lost and found reports alongside the tours of the shelter and the media covering the shelter’s many stories.

‘Our front desk team help and see those that have tears of joy to tears of sadness with the bereaved pet owners,’ said their nominator, Steve Byrne.

‘One moment they will be helping co-ordinate rounding up a herd of sheep to the next moment talking to someone that would like to adopt an animal. 

‘The GSPCA front-of-house team are made up of a core but many of the team will assist and strive in ensuring that the public and community have the best of care and service.’
