The Peninsula Hotel has been nominated for the Customer Service of the Year award

‘THERE is nowhere like the Peninsula Hotel' for customer service, according to one Pride nomination.

From the reception staff to maintenance, the entire Peninsula Hotel team are deserved of recognition for their level of work and care they provide to their customers, said to Alison Smith, who put the hotel team forward for the Pride award.

‘When my husband and I go in for coffee, reception always stand up and say “hello, how are you?”’ Alison said.

‘Everyone is so nice, they stop for a little chat and they all work so hard, from managers, chef, maintenance men – they all say hello and are so polite.’

Alison has been popping down to the Peninsula for the past five years and said that even when the team are working hard on weddings or functions, they always find the time.

She added that the smallest of touches such as the waiting staff always remembering her and her husband’s coffee order of ‘two cappuccinos’ makes it so special.

‘They are almost like friends – the whole team deserve this.’
