David King has been nominated for the Customer Service of the Year award

DAVID KING ‘shines as a bright light’ at the Guernsey Welfare Service, said David Savident in nominating him for the Customer Service award.

Mr Savident first came to know Mr King and observe his daily work when he started as one of the four directors of the Mill Street Community Cafe almost five years ago, and has since worked with the Welfare Service on several occasions.

‘Dave is always cheerful and has the ability to put everyone at ease,’ Mr Savident said.

‘He treats everybody as though they are his friends and also comes up with ideas to make people bond socially.’

Mr King has worked at the Guernsey Welfare Service for the past five-and-a-half years, acting as front of house and food bank assistant.

‘David shines as a light in the Guernsey Welfare office and supports the superb management team – he would make a worthy winner.’
