TWO individuals from the Social Security Department at Edward T Wheadon House have particularly stood out to a Customer Service nominator this year, namely Helen Bourne and Sophie Randall.
The duo have been recognised after working together to help the nominator overcome both mental and physical health challenges.
‘Helen in incapacity benefits and Sophie in income support are the most kind, caring, empathetic individuals, who have been so understanding, non-judgmental and supportive of the life challenges I have faced,’ their nominator said.
‘They have empowered me, believed in me to build in a way to be able to work to what I am able with my challenges, and have been a guide, support and encouraged and listened when things have been tough.’
The nominator added that Helen and Sophie’s dedication to working long hours have been crucial in making a long lasting impact and difference to their life.
‘They always have my best interest at heart and have been a huge support – I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
‘They have saved and changed my life for the better.’
