‘BE prepared...’ for these two nominees from the Guernsey Scouts Association.
‘Carolyn and Phil run the 3rd Scouts group which our son attends and they give up so much of their time,’ said their nominator Kelly Divall.
‘They seem to have an endless supply of energy and enthusiasm and provide so many fantastic opportunities and experiences for the Scouts.
‘They give up their time and holidays to take the Scouts camping as well as other activities. They are just fantastic. They make scouting fun and accessible for all.’
Carolyn is also a nurse at the Frossard children’s ward at the hospital, where she has looked after the Divalls’ daughter.
Going beyond her work or voluntary duties, Carolyn has provided a great deal of personal support to the Divalls, going the extra mile.
‘They are volunteers and we are nominating them as we want them to know how valued they are,’ Kelly added.
