Donna Murphy has been nominated for Grandparent of the Year

In light of Donna Murphy raising her six children as a single mother and all that she does for her 20 grandchildren, Donna has been nominated for Grandparent of the Year.

‘She never ever once let us down and she now puts her grandchildren first,’ said Donna’s daughter and nominator, Savannah Osborne.

‘Countless times she has stopped her own plans and work to help with her grandchildren when needed. She is there no matter what time of the day and will drop everything and anything to make sure we have all we need.’

Donna works as a school minibus driver during term time and also works at Peacocks clothing store, but loves making time to see her grandchildren, some of who live right next door to her.

‘She has been through such tough stages in her life but she has never ever let that affect being the amazing mother and grandmother she is. 

‘She honestly deserves the world and more,’ Savannah added.
