Viv and Stuart Glendinning have been nominated for Grandparents of the Year

Viv and Stuart Glendinning are amazing grandparents to five-year-old Ethan who absolutely adores his grandparents. 

‘Everything they do is amazing, they are like Ethan’s second parents,’ said Dawn Howitt, their nominator and daughter. ‘I just wanted to show my appreciation for these two amazing grandparents,’ she said.

Viv and Stuart have been standing at Dawn’s side throughout everything she has been through and continue to do so. 

Viv and Stuart are fabulous carers for Ethan. While all three of them work, Viv collects him from school and takes care of him until Dawn gets home from work. 

Even though they are exhausted from working they are more than willing to do anything for Dawn and Ethan.

‘Shocking’ and ‘wonderful’ were the words Viv and Stuart used when asked how they felt about their nomination. 

‘I don’t see it as reward,’ said Viv. Looking after Ethan, helping to bring him up and being part of his life is what Viv and Stuart find the most rewarding about being grandparents.
