‘SIMPLY the best grandparents,’ is how the family see Spud and Sharon Gallienne, who have been nominated for Grandparents of the Year for their unwavering support to their seven grandchildren.
‘They always put their grandchildren’s needs before their own.
‘They help look after the children so us parents are able to work, doing school drop-offs and collections,’ said nominator Natasha Le Gallez. ‘They would go out of their way for their grandchildren, who they all love equally and go above and beyond for.’
Sharon said her grandchildren were her world and she considers herself lucky to spend so much time with them.
‘It means everything to me to be a grandparent, we’ve constantly got them and we do so much. There’s been some medical issues but having them just helps cheer things up, we go for walks, go to the park and the beach.’
