10-year-old Isabella has displayed an incredible strength of character, resilience and determination to raise over £6,000 for Les Bourgs Hospice.
Isabella sadly lost her father to cancer back in October and has completed the Scafell Pike climb in his memory, a climb he was training for before he passed away. Isabella showed immense dedication to training with her uncle and completed the challenge alongside her mother and uncle.
‘This is a huge achievement for a child,’ said Liz Stonebridge, Isabella’s nominator in admiration of Isabella’s strength.
After reaching the summit of the highest and most prominent mountain in England on the second attempt to complete the climb, Isabella left a special painted pebble in memory of her father.
Isabella was amazed and quite pleased when she heard of her nomination, this bubbly and articulate young girl has achieved something not many adults have and continues to inspire those around her.
