Sophie Bailey has been nominated for Parent of the Year
Sophie Bailey became a first-time mum in May 2023 at the age of 21 when she welcomed baby Lily-Mai to the world.
A year on, she has been nominated for the Parent of the Year award following a traumatic birth and tricky first couple of months of life for her daughter.
‘She’s still struggling to this day but never shows it,’ the nomination said.
‘Sophie always puts Lily-Mai first no matter what – even when she wasn’t very well in hospital.’
As well as caring for her baby daughter, Sophie has been praised for her work at Browhill Nursing Home where she cares for the elderly.
Six months after returning to work from maternity leave, Sophie was given
a promotion to senior carer.
‘She’s doing great at work and at being a first-time mum – you would never know.’
