DANNII FRIEND’S ‘unwavering dedication and support,’ has seen her nominated for parent of the year.

‘From the time I was a baby to now, she has consistently been my strongest advocate. Over the past year she has watched me grow into a completely new person and I have her to thank for that transformation,’ said nominator Aaliyah Upson.

‘She has supported me through every challenge, standing up against those who bullied me. 

‘When teachers failed to understand or support my disabilities, she stepped in to educate them, her relentless advocacy has been a constant in my life, providing me with the strength and confidence to face adversity.

‘Her selflessness, resilience and unwavering love make her the most deserving recipient of this award.’

Dannii added that it had not been easy but that she would not change it for the world.

‘It’s been a challenge but it’s so worth it to see my daughter happy.’
