OVER THE past couple of years since moving to Guernsey, Dr Patrizia Kaye has offered support and guidance for those within the LGBTQ+ community and beyond – now her efforts have been recognised with a Pride of Guernsey nomination.
In April, Dr Kaye organised an ‘evening of empathetic learning’ at the Bean Jar coffee shop in the Arcade called ‘Ask A Trans Woman’.
When the event was first announced, the reaction was very positive which was then reflected during the session where many people were interested in how they could make workplaces and the island more inclusive and welcoming.
‘Dr Kaye is an exceptional trans-woman who has supported, guided and mentored people within the LGBTQ+ community and others,’ said Sofia Noakes as she nominated her close friend.
‘She has gone over and above to help her fellow man and she absolutely should be recognised for her overwhelming kindness and devotion to see the world as it should be.’
