FOR the past six years, Marie Philippe has worked to make ‘hundreds of children’ feel comfortable at Les Voies School including Claire Fisher’s son.
‘Marie and I had worked together in the past professionally, so I already knew what a fantastic human she is,’ Claire Fisher said in her nomination.
‘But she has gone above and beyond with my son to ensure he had a smooth transition to Les Voies, and for his last 18 months at school he felt valued, heard and was able to succeed.
‘Marie has a lovely way with students and parents – she is totally dedicated to her students and their families and strives to ensure young people who cannot manage in mainstream education have the same opportunities as everyone else, but in an environment where they are genuinely valued.’
Claire added: ‘Marie has helped hundreds of children who face challenges and she does it all with a gentle nature, empathy and humility while striking a professional balance.’
