TWO ‘very special people’ have been nominated for Carer of the Year.
Louise Sarahs has put forward Samantha Barry and Joanna Simmons for the Specsavers-sponsored award.
‘Always willing to help no matter what,’ said Miss Sarahs in her nomination.
‘Sam has set up a dog walking business and has many breeds of all shapes and sizes.
‘She truly enjoys her job and always takes very special care of them.
‘She always phones me up to make laugh when I’m at my lowest point.’
Joanna, meanwhile, helps Sam out whenever she can but also spends many hours painting pebbles, as well as making creations from driftwood and shells she finds on the beaches when out walking the dogs. These items are sold to raise funds for Guernsey Chest and Heart.
‘Two very very special ladies,’ said Miss Sarahs.
