SARKFEST organisers Simon Couldridge and Mark Guillou have been nominated for the Arts Contribution award, sponsored by Moonpig.
The organisers were commended for their dedication and working tirelessly to showcase local musicians.
They received several nominations, with one nominator, Zara Knox, describing the event as: ‘A beautifully orchestrated three day festival run by experienced enthusiasts and a lot of kind and willing volunteers from across the Channel Islands.
‘SarkFest brings an otherwise sleepy little island to life in an explosion of colour and music.’
This year’s event ran from 8-10 July and featured bands from Guernsey, Jersey, the UK and France.
Another nominator, Anita Rive, said: ‘Mark tirelessly supports musicians, young and old.
‘Without Mark’s efforts, the vibrant Bailiwick music scene would not exist. He is a legend!’
The festival attracted over 30 bands and acoustic acts, and included food, drinks, and entertainment for all.
Other nominators described the festival as ‘diverse’, ‘very well organised’, and ‘great for Sark’s economy’.
