THE A La Perchoine film team have been nominated for the Arts Contribution award, which is sponsored by Moonpig.
Elliott Cockett was the director and head of photography for the movie, which was released in 2021, and had Tim Langlois alongside him as producer and Martin Cordall as a co-writer with John Loaring.
Mr Cordall also composed the musical score and lyrics for the film and acted as the director of production.
A La Perchoine was first produced as a musical in 1990 and returned once more in 1995.
It tells the story of the evacuated Guernsey school children during the second world war.
‘This was an amazing community effort featuring hundreds of children and adults,’ said A La Perchoine’s nominator, Barbara Minta.
‘It covers a period of history which must never be forgotten.
‘Screenings of the film were attended by hundreds of Guernsey people who reacted to it with great adulation.’
