THE Housing 21 partnership with the Rosaire Community Association has been nominated for the Guernsey Energy-sponsored Neighbour of the Year award.
The nominator, who wished to remain anonymous, said there was a strong sense of community at Rosaire Court and Gardens.
‘When social events are put on, for example the tea party for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, there is such a sense of camaraderie and a lovely atmosphere.
‘I am very appreciative of the effort and hard work which enable these events to go ahead, as they are great fun and bring us neighbours together.’
Rosaire Court and Gardens is open for residency to those aged 55 or older.
‘Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and I have made some really strong friendships amongst those I live with.
‘It is nice to live in such a positive environment.’
Manager Mike Logue said the atmosphere was a key part of Rosaire. ‘We support a sense of a community hub.’
