KEEN collage maker Eleanor Atkinson has been nominated for the Arts Contribution of the Year award, sponsored by Moonpig.

Her nominator, who wished to remain anonymous, applauded Miss Atkinson’s character as well as her work.

‘Alongside being one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever met, she is dedicated to making intricate, unique collages, with her main focus being Guernsey’s popular spots such as Fermain Bay and the High Street,’ they said.

‘In April, she helped spark conversation and treasured memories for people with dementia and their carers through various art projects.’

Miss Atkinson put on an exhibition with the National Trust at the Saumarez Park Folk Museum this summer and she also does commission work.

‘She has now moved to Manchester to pursue her talents further, but deserves to be recognised for all of the beautiful pieces she created that represent Guernsey,’ her nominator added.
