JULIE WILLIAMS has been nominated for the Customer Service of the Year award, which is sponsored by DWA, for her work at the States of Guernsey’s Social Security office.

JULIE WILLIAMS has been nominated for the Customer Service of the Year award, which is sponsored by DWA, for her work at the States of Guernsey’s Social Security office. 

She is the ‘go-to person for all those in need of help with vital off-island treatment’, according to her nominator Tony Holland. 

‘When I was diagnosed with lymphoma in late 2020 Julie was the one who really helped to take away a lot of the stress,’ he said.

‘She helped to sort out my taxis, arrange my accommodation when it was required, organise the hospital trips and sort air transfers and flights – in fact she helped with pretty much everything from me leaving home to returning.

‘She makes things so much easier for countless different patients who are going through a very traumatic time and she really is deserving of getting a nomination for Pride of Guernsey.’
