Parent/s of the Year: Helen O'Hara

‘AMAZING MUM’ Helen O’Hara has been nominated for the Parent/s of the Year award, sponsored by Ray & Scott.

Nominator and friend Lollie McLean said: ‘Helen’s son Fletch was born with very complex medical needs, he has been very unwell and needed multiple surgeries both at Great Ormond Street and Southampton General Hospital.

‘In addition to being the most amazing mum to Fletch and fighting hard to ensure his needs are met and he has the best of everything and equal opportunities, she is an amazing Mum to her daughter Sibbie, she is a loving wife to her husband Dan and a truly wonderful, thoughtful friend.

‘Helen also tirelessly works to raise money for the Guernsey Down Syndrome charity.

‘She is an absolute inspiration, and the kindest, sweetest lady you could ever wish to meet.

‘Life has not been easy for Helen in the past eight years but she never complains, she is one in a million.’
