RACHEL BOTT is ‘an amazing leader and the best manager we could ask for’, because she is always very caring to both staff and residents of Chateau du Village nursing home, regardless of the situation.

Nominated for the Ravenscroft-sponsored Angel of the Year award for being renowned as ‘a very humble lady who is full of passion in her job’, Rachel has worked at the nursing home for 17 years. She has built what both she and her team describe as ‘a family’ among residents and staff alike. 

‘Residents are her first priority but she never forgets to support her staff in hectic situations in a very calm and self-controlled manner,’ her staff commented.

When asked what her favourite part of her job was, Rachel said that ‘seeing my residents happy in their home and seeing my staff happy in their work means so much to me.’

She emphasised the importance of giving her staff job satisfaction and a good working environment.

Her team at Chateau du Village said that ‘Rachel always keeps her staff in high spirits and this makes us feel at home as one family’.
