‘Last April, as a result of side effects of my anorexia and my cerebral palsy, my spine condition unfortunately deteriorated. After an unplanned trip to A&E, a brief hospital admission and then being referred off island to Salford spinal unit and back on crutches for mobility, I was also referred to Claire.

‘From the moment I have had support from Claire, she has been incredible in every way possible, treating me with the utmost respect and being determined to help me fight back. Claire has given me new-found strength with my physiotherapy treatment and helping to make my treatment effective but also adaptable, specifically for my other physical health disabilities, cerebral palsy and other needs.

‘Claire has been inventive and creative with my physiotherapy treatment and exercises and continues to reassure me every step of the way so that I can understand what is happening with my conditions and to see a way forwards.

‘Because of Claire’s amazing continued support I am now off my crutches and fighting back, determined more than ever. Even through the blips and challenges I face, Claire continues to support me and be there every step of the way and even being able to do this through lockdown and never giving up on me.

‘I am now off my crutches and becoming stronger than ever and fighting back and Claire’s professionalism means I am seeing a way forwards – and for that I am so grateful.’
