BUBBLY hospitality worker Robert Steen has been put forward for the Cherry Godfrey-sponsored Customer Service of the Year award.

Mr Steen was nominated by Jane Wratten for his perky attitude during his employment at Les Cotils, and for his continued enthusiasm towards his new business, Patois Brasserie. Ms Wratten said: ‘He always makes you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble.’

Mr Steen is also helping out with the air and sea search and rescue service, having flown out to Jersey on a mission at 1am just last week.

He often contributes to charities, having played a part in Meals on Wheels and delivering prescriptions during lockdown, as well as decontaminating ambulances.

Ms Wratten added: ‘If anyone ever says we’re raising money for something he will always search deep in his pockets.’

Mr Steen is still searching for more to get stuck into alongside his ‘calorie-free cakes’ and other endeavours, and Ms Wratten says that he is ‘always smiling and happy to see all customers’, providing a very warm welcome and a friendly face to greet your arrival.
