Pride of Guernsey: Emma Topley

EMMA TOPLEY of the GSPCA has been nominated for the Alexander Daniels-sponsored Customer Service of the Year award for her ability to make customers feel valued.

She has been nominated by regular visitor and cat lover Karen Duquemin.

‘This young lady always gives me a warm welcome whenever I visit the GSPCA and listens to me and my stories about my cats,’ she said, ‘She never appears to tire of hearing the tales, even though I am sure I have repeated myself a few times.

‘She is always keen to hear what antics they have been up to since the previous time we talked.’

Karen said that whenever she visited the charity, Emma was usually around to help with whatever she needed.

‘Whether it be to offer me a tissue and a hug when I lost one of my beloved fur babies or to show me the boarding facilities and explain the daily duties.

‘I think she is wonderful and makes me feel like a valued visitor – nothing is too much – and for that she deserves recognition for her polite and welcoming attitude.’
