Pride of Guernsey: Chateau du Village staff

NURSING home Chateau du Village’s ‘exceptional care’ has been recognised by Eddie Robins, who has nominated staff for the Specsavers-sponsored Carer of the Year award.

He said, ‘I still visit the home regularly even though my wife passed away a year ago – I just cannot forget the exceptional care given to her.

‘That care is in abundance, even more so today.’

Mr Robin’s wife was a resident at the home for three years.

‘When you enter the home you feel an instant warmth, the staff welcome you with a smile and you are cared for.

‘If anyone has a niggling doubt about having a relative or friend with a need to go into a home, have no fear, I cannot fault the care at the Chateau du Village.

‘Nothing is too much trouble – safety and comfort is the priority.’
