‘TIRELESS’ conservation work has been recognised by the Little Chapel Foundation, which has nominated Geoff Simon for the Butterfield-sponsored Conservation Hero of the Year Award.

Geoff Simon, supported by a team from C A Duquemin Ltd, has worked on the restoration of the Little Chapel for more than three years now.

‘His building skills and expertise have proved invaluable in the restoration of this iconic chapel,’ said a spokesman for the foundation.

‘He has completely renovated the crumbling roof structure as well as carrying out essential repairs to its floors, walls, ceilings and windows.’

Geoff was commended for his eye for detail, ensuring that the finished result was fully in keeping with the ethos and aesthetics of the building, which was in danger of collapse.

‘He is fortunate to have complete support from his colleagues at C A Duquemin Ltd, who deserve thanks and praise too.’
