SARAH PLUMLEY’S outstanding efforts in enhancing the Forest parish deserve recognition, according to Jenny and Peter Falla, who have put her forward for the Parish Champion award.

As the chairwoman and secretary of Floral Forest she has been the main driver of the parish’s efforts for several years now, developing a number of ongoing projects as well as initiating new ones. Last year she led Floral Forest to a gold award for the Bailiwick in the RHS National Britain in Bloom finals as well as the Organising Committee of the Year award at the annual Guernsey Community Foundation Awards.

‘Sarah’s individual commitment is huge and as a result of her modest and quiet style of leadership coupled with her ‘down to earth’ practical approach, she has developed a great sense of teamwork within the parish,’ said Mrs Falla.

‘In our view Sarah is a true parish champion in that she gives up countless hours of her own time to enhance the Forest parish for the benefit of both locals and visitors alike.’
