Sarah first started Guernsey Improbables in 2012 and gave it a break for four years while she was a politician. She then restarted in 2021 running courses.
‘It went from strength to strength and now we’ve expanded into comedy courses. We did an improv show in June and it was a fantastic experience, a really diverse group of people and a great night of comedy. We’re also doing a night of stand-up comedy on 21 July at St James café.’
Sarah’s nominator, who wished to remain anonymous, praised the way in which she has brought comedy back to the island.
‘[Sarah] works super hard running Guernsey’s improv group Guernsey Improbables and putting on courses for anyone and everyone to attend. Sarah has also started a stand-up comedy course where she passes on her comedy knowledge and encourages people to do what they love. Thanks to Sarah, stand-up comedy and improv is back on Guernsey stages’
