Pride of Guernsey: St Andrew’s Floral Group

CONTRIBUTORS to local nature, the St Andrews Floral Group have been nominated for the A7 Design-sponsored Parish Champion of the Year award.

GSPCA manager Steve Byrne nominated the group for their parish-wide efforts but also their more focused floral input at the GSPCA.
‘Over the last three years they have helped transform the grounds at not only the GSPCA but around St Andrew’s, being decorated with a huge array of floral awards and helping us to achieve a number of conservation awards,’ he said.
‘A special mention must go to Ann Wragg who has achieved a huge amount of funding for the variety of projects and is still heavily involved with our conservation work and getting our Memorial Garden revitalised.
‘From our poison garden to our ponds, hedgerows to planters, involving the RSPB to Guernsey bee keepers, the GSPCA grounds have become a haven for wildlife and a joy for visitors.
‘From all at the GSPCA, a huge thank you to all involved with St Andrews Floral Group for helping us in so many ways.’
