KIM LE CHEMINANT combines working full-time with providing great care for her family, according to her daughter.
Kyra Gledinning nominated her mum for the Channel Islands Co-operative Society-sponsored Grandparent/s of the Year award because she has always been her rock and supported her and her daughters, Taylor, 8, and Molly, 5.
Taylor has had some difficulties growing up and is autistic and her ‘amazing nanny’ has always been there to support her.
‘My mum works harder then anyone I know as along with her full-time day job she also works as a community nurse, sometimes working all day then doing a night shift and not getting home till the next morning,’ she said.
‘This never stops her from taking her three grandchildren out (my two daughters and my nephew) every Sunday and spending quality time with them. Alongside all of this she is also a committee member for my charity, Dizzy Donkey.
‘Both my daughters love their Nanny more then anything. She is their best friend.’
