AN ENGRAVER who has recently gone into business on his own has been praised for being ‘top class’ by his nominator for the Alexander Daniels-sponsored Customer Service of the Year award.
‘Having always worked for someone else “behind the scenes”, Mick Marley took the plunge to work for himself, opening his workshop at L’Islet,’ said Pamela Preece.
‘It has proved to be the best thing not only for Mick but for the benefit of all his customers – all kinds of sporting clubs who need trophies and engraving, as well as personal and special occasion gifts.
‘He deserves to be recognised and rewarded for his professional yet down-to-earth approach, always smiling and happy even when under enormous pressure. To the extent that he will work through to the early hours to ensure all is ready for that prize-giving or event.
