Delivering warmth in their welcome

GUERNSEY GAS has been an important part of the island’s community for almost 200 years.

GUERNSEY GAS has been an important part of the island’s community for almost 200 years.
With a well-trained workforce of more than 60, we understand the importance of delivering a warm welcome and the very best customer service to every one of our own customers, who expect and demand the same.
Not only have we provided homes and businesses with arguably the greenest, cleanest fuel available in the island for almost a double century, supported by a well-trained team of people whose daily ambition is to provide an unbeatable customer service, our longer-term vision recognises the need to invest in alternative energies as well as to protect and improve our natural environment. So we are working hard to develop alternative power generation options. And we have an active community programme that is working equally hard to tackle environmental issues in a way that will help create a greener Guernsey.
The Warm Welcome of the Year Award specifically recognises the importance of the island’s hotel and hospitality sector – the people who directly influence Guernsey’s reputation as a warm and friendly island. The people who go that little bit further to provide a better service, deliver an improved product or share more information… From hotel receptionists to bus and taxi drivers, to tour guides, to shop assistants – people who are at the very front of customer service.
We want to recognise these special people, because they are important – to us and to our island.
They make us all feel well looked after and cared for.
And, ultimately, they reflect positively on our island from the warmth of welcome they provide.
So please keep your eyes and ears open and share your own stories of ‘warm welcomes’ by nominating those who you feel are worthy of the honour.
